instead of tips
If you’d like to contribute to my pay it forward fund, allowing me to offer sliding scale appointments to BIPOC, queer, trans, disabled, and chronically ill community members whose access to health care and wealth has been historically and systematically denied, let me know when you’re paying for your appointment and I can add any amount you’d like to your invoice. Thank you for showing up for community in this way!

I am not in network with any health insurance providers, even though my name may still show up in their directories.
I accept insurance claims for PIP (Personal Injury Protection) through auto insurance companies after a car accident. PIP claims will be billed at my full treatment rate of $48 per 15 minutes of treatment. If you have an active PIP claim, please contact me to discuss prior to booking.
If your health insurance coverage reimburses you for out-of-network providers, I will happily provide you with a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement. Please be sure to call your insurance company before our first session to verify out-of-network reimbursement rates and to let me know if you wish to go this route.
If you will need superbills or would like me to bill your open PIP claim, please ask your doctor for a prescription for massage that includes diagnosis codes prior to our first session. It is outside the scope of my practice to diagnose, so even if your insurance company says that a prescription is not required for reimbursement, I still need one from you.

I offer sliding scale appointments that are funded by the contributions full-fee clients make to my pay it forward fund. For regular sessions, the scale ranges from $50 to full fee ($140), and for long sessions, $75 to full fee ($195). I ask those who need access to sliding scale bodywork to determine for yourself where on the scale you best fit.
In an attempt to redistribute some of the generational wealth I have inherited, I reserve these spots for BIPOC, queer, trans, disabled, and chronically ill community members whose access to health care and wealth has been historically and systematically denied.
If that description fits you, please send me an email requesting a sliding scale appointment and letting me know how much you are able to pay. I will let you know if I currently have money available in my pay it forward fund, responding on a first-come first-served basis. I keep a waiting list for sliding scale requests and will never adjust your spot in line based on how much you are able to pay.
-
I do not accept tips, but instead ask every client if they are able to offer anything beyond the cost of the session towards my pay it forward fund. This fund allows me to offer sliding scale appointments to those who need them. I am grateful to my community for showing up for each other in this way!
Want to contribute to the pay it forward fund, but don’t have an appointment booked? Email me with the amount you’d like to be charged, and I’ll send you an invoice. Thank you so much!
health & cancellations
-
If you have to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled session. If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment or do not show up for your scheduled time, you will be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be made by request, on a case by case basis, for illness or emergencies.
-
If you have any new and unexplained symptoms of illness (fever, cough, congestion, muscle aches, inflamed lymph nodes, rash or blisters, etc.) please cancel your session as soon as these symptoms arise, keeping in mind my 48 hours cancellation period. This is not only to avoid transmission (of Covid or anything else!), but also to minimize the severity of your infection, as sometimes bodywork can create a greater immune response to a virus that is already in your system.
-
I am fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid, and require all clients to be vaccinated to the full extent you are eligible. I won’t ask you to show me proof of vaccination, but I expect you will be truthful on your intake form.
My treatment room is well ventilated, with a HEPA filter running at all times and windows open as the weather allows.
I do not require masks if you think it’s likely you are not carrying any contagious illness. If you have been in recent situations where you may have been exposed to any sort of virus but are not showing symptoms, I would ask that you wear a mask during our session.
If you’ve had Covid, please wait 3 days after you are symptom-free and testing negative before you come in for an appointment.
If I am sick or have an emergency arise, I will let you know as soon as possible that I need to reschedule your appointment.

“I have never been to a massage therapist before and was pretty nervous going in. I have issues with body confidence and being comfortable with the idea of self care. Mollie has been incredibly welcoming and comforting, and amazing at teaching me how to take better care of myself day-to-day. The approach of long-term correction over short-term relief is very appreciated and exactly what I was looking for.”
